Receptionist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our dynamic care team at The Oxford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Haverhill. As a Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate the telephone switchboard and utilize proper phone etiquette.
  • Receive and direct all persons entering the facility to appropriate areas.
  • Perform general typing and secretarial functions, including distributing paychecks and receiving and directing incoming mail and deliveries.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidentiality and adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to and promote resident and family relations.
  • Knowledgeable in facility's Privacy Practice and complies by protecting all residents' health information.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
  • Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Must possess a cheerful personality and be able to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Must be able to type 50 words per minute.
