Sales Operations Analyst

Mitten Extracts is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Sales Operations Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for optimizing sales processes, analyzing sales data, and providing actionable insights to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement across assortment, pricing, distribution, promotion, and other key performance indicators.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sales initiatives and strategies, providing recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Assist in sales forecasting and budgeting processes, working closely with sales leadership to develop accurate sales forecasts and targets.
  • Maintain and optimize the customer relationship management (CRM) system to ensure accurate and up-to-date sales data, training sales team members on CRM best practices.
  • Regularly access or solicit retailer data to conduct inventory analysis for reordering to achieve customer in-stock goals without driving excess inventory.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and product management, to support sales initiatives and drive business growth.
  • Provide analytical support to the sales team, including territory planning, quota setting, and incentive program analysis.
  • Develop productive working relationships with key retailer contacts to fulfill inventory, align on forecasts, and promotional activity.
  • Evaluate and improve sales processes and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness, implementing best practices and ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Equivalent work experience accepted.
  • At least 1 year of related experience in CPG, alcohol, or cannabis a plus.
  • Strong analytic skill set with the ability to provide actionable recommendations based on key performance indicators.
  • Understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales automation tools. We currently deploy Outfield App.
  • Disciplined with time and project management skills; possess the ability to set priorities and be accountable.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and interpreting data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.

Compensation:

Salary/Exempt 50k – 70k
