About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at Levy Gallatin in Ghent, KY. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Manage parts inventory and ordering to ensure timely receipt of critical components.
  • Coordinate with site management and lead mechanic to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
  • Reconcile plant and mobile equipment maintenance assets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate work packages and instructions for all work orders on the weekly schedule.
  • Assemble kits and stage parts for scheduled work orders to ensure efficient execution.
  • Expedite emergency parts as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in the development of PM scheduling to ensure proactive maintenance.
  • Track and analyze maintenance data for reporting and budgeting purposes.
  • Send rebuildable items out for repair and track progress to ensure timely return.
  • Operate telehandler or forklift to load or offload parts and components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized storeroom to ensure efficient parts retrieval.
  • Coordinate activities and schedules related to service vendor utilization.
  • Develop and maintain reporting as required to support business decisions.
Requirements
  • Equipment maintenance experience with strong analytical skills and knowledge of data analysis for reporting purposes.
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance systems is a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklift or telehandler.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, and lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to tolerate noise, temperature variations, and environmental conditions.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
