Job Summary

As a Surgical Technologist at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to maintain a sterile environment and assist the surgical team as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare for surgical procedures by collecting and organizing necessary supplies and instruments.
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the correct count of instruments, needles, and sponges.
  • Clean and prepare rooms between procedures, and terminally clean at the end of the day.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and complete annual education requirements.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Surgical Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligibility for certification.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment.
