Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiology and a strong background in diagnosing and treating occupational-related injuries or illnesses. The successful candidate will work closely with our supervising physician to coordinate and implement plans of care for patients.

Responsibilities
  1. Diagnose and treat occupational-related injuries or illnesses derived from the work environment.
  2. Recommend or prescribe treatments for the relief or cure of physical or functional ailments or defects.
  3. Coordinate and implement plans of care in consultation with the supervising physician for patients, when appropriate.
  4. Collaborate with contracted Employee Health departments in health and prevention strategies for their employees.
  5. Perform all charting, summaries, correspondence, and administrative work required for documenting care and billing in a timely manner.
  6. Participate in activities that support contracted employer Occupational Health Services.
  7. Perform occupational health-related physical examinations and screenings, including vital signs, vision tests, hearing tests, drug and/or alcohol screening, respiratory clearances, and spirometry testing.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • National Certification.
  • 1 year of cardiology experience required.
