Manufacturing Systems Engineer

The Manufacturing Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and driving quality-driven manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment for the production of new and existing wire and harness cables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop efficient processes for harness systems and electro-mechanical assemblies
- Create and maintain work instructions to optimize manufacturability
- Problem solve and recommend solutions for internal production issues and customer design issues
- Lead engineering efforts to implement new products into production
- Design and implement tools and fixtures required for effective manufacturing
- Investigate, recommend, justify, and implement new equipment purchases
- Manage process and documentation changes as required by internal and customer-driven engineering changes
- Interpret drawing packages and internal BOMs, and audit for accuracy
- Provide expert technical support to production teams
- Support purchasing, quality, test, and production departments to ensure product integrity is maintained
Requirements:
- BS in Engineering or related field, preferred
- Minimum 2 years Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Experience with cable layup/construction methods
- Experience with Electro-mechanical assemblies
- Mold injection experience, strongly preferred
- Bi-lingual Spanish and English, strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Lean manufacturing
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
