Engineering Technician

Nammo Defense Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our team in Mesa, Arizona. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of engineers in the execution and improvement of propellant, pyrotechnic, and explosive manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical engineering assistance for various projects, including new initiatives, ongoing production efforts, and engineering advancements.
- Collect and document all necessary data points, monitor processes and key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide training to manufacturing technicians.
- Author, update, and redline process documentation, develop comprehensive work instructions, conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), and ensure the implementation of work instructions as directed by the engineering team.
- Understand the function and limits of processing equipment, comprehend how changes in equipment settings can impact the manufacturing process, and troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process failures.
- Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent, or High School/General Education Diploma (GED) with hands-on work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Proficiency in operating a wide range of equipment, including pumps, forklifts, mixers, hydraulics, feeder/extruders, compressors, particle size analyzers, ovens, and drill presses.
- General understanding of chemical science, including overlapping polymers, analytical measurements, and physical properties.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, formulations, and concepts.
- Hands-on experience with program/project work in applied research and development (R&D) and/or production support.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with energetic material regulations and safe handling/measurement practices.
- Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills, working well with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient technical writing skills.
- Clear and effective communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Data-driven mindset, utilizing accurate and reliable data for decision-making.
- Detail-oriented approach, ensuring precision and accuracy in tasks.

- Ability to obtain approval through ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) to handle Nammo Defense Systems' products and information.
