Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily sanitizing of assigned areas using germicidal cleansers.
  • Clean windows, windowsills, and other high-touch areas.
  • Dust mop and damp mop all tiled floors to ensure a clean and dust-free environment.
  • Utilize appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure, and ensure all chemicals are properly labeled and locked up when not in use.
  • Transport trash and hazardous waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Distribute linens to patient wings and remove dirty linen.
  • Follow infection control practices, including hand washing techniques and Standard Precautions.
Working Conditions

This role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. The physical effort is medium to heavy, with the ability to exert up to 35 pounds of force. The physical environment may expose the employee to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
