Job Summary

The Operations Supervisor is a key member of the Ryder team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a diesel mechanics shop. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of maintenance operations and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Workflow Management: Responsible for work analysis, planning, and scheduling, as well as productivity tracking and optimization.
  • Labor Management: Provides management, training, and development of all personnel assigned to the shop.
  • Customer Management: Responsible for customer relationship management, including issue resolutions, customer satisfaction, and retention.
  • Asset Management: Directs the maintenance and upkeep of shop equipment and vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Quality Management: Responsible for quality inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Financial Management: Ensures the shop operates within budget, managing costs and optimizing revenue streams.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance operations environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on customer service and quality management.
