This is a full-time position with a standard workweek of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, free from weekend duties and on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
The Oncology Research Operations Leader will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the clinical research program and operations, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
- Coaching and mentoring research staff, managing recruitment, performance evaluations, and policy compliance.
- Establishing accountability standards and metrics for research activities, identifying areas for operational enhancement.
- Collaborating with management to develop and implement research budgets that align with financial objectives.
- Engaging with physicians and research committees to select appropriate studies for the program.
- Promoting the research program within the community and among referring physicians.
- Coordinating research efforts with external sponsors and partners.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; a nursing degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of clinical nursing experience or related scientific background, with a preference for oncology experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience, ideally within clinical research.
- Certification from SoCRA or ARCP is preferred.
Working Conditions:
The work environment may involve exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and other conditions typical of an oncology clinic. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires a full range of motion, including the ability to lift and maneuver patients, as well as manual dexterity and coordination. The position may involve standing and walking for extended periods and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs. Vision and hearing must be within normal ranges.
