About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Acute Dialysis Unit at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the plan of care as delegated by staff nurses within the scope of your skills and training.
  • Provide a clean and safe environment in the patient care area, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Communicate patient care needs effectively with patients, families, and other staff members, including multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Complete documentation of patient-related tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Adapt your behavior to meet the specific needs of patients, including respect for privacy and communication style.
Requirements
  • Current Louisiana Certification as a Nurses' Assistant (CNA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, obtained within 30 days of hire
  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification, obtained within 30 days of hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Hospital and telemetry experience
