Mercy Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pain Therapy team. As a Pain Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, maintaining professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, performing duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
- Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles to develop a self-care program, instruments and common safety practices.
- Current valid state license and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures, ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies, communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public.
Equipment Used:
Must be able to operate equipment normally related to the specialty of the clinic.
