Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, a renowned healthcare institution, seeks a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our esteemed team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine and diagnostic mammography at a highly technical level, requiring independence and ingenuity in applying prescribed ionizing radiation to obtain a radiologic diagnosis. This role involves assisting radiologists and surgeons during minimally invasive biopsy procedures, maintaining quality control standards, and documenting results.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • Satisfactory completion of an AMA-accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in all areas of mammography, including stereotactic biopsy and needle localization
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control in the Discipline of Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
