Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Selecting proper technical factors for study and performing diagnostic CT examinations accurately
  • Operating the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system
  • Assisting in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures
  • Preparing, transferring, and positioning patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety
  • Documenting all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtaining informed consent, and completing all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • Obtaining high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
  • Maintaining proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist
  • Checking the operation of the equipment, maintaining cleanliness of the table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keeping the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
  • Accepting on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at an accredited, AMA-approved institution
  • ARRT (CT) certification (preferred)
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
