Audiologist or Hearing Aid Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist or Hearing Aid Specialist to join our team at HearingLife. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality care and aftercare of dispensing services, including hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, and education on best practices.
  • Perform checks on hearing aids and other amplification devices, including troubleshooting, repairs, and cleaning.
  • Achieve practice growth through sales and key business metrics, while maintaining ethical practice standards.
  • Participate in local community outreach, including health fairs and developing physician relationships.
  • Counsel patients on the purchase of hearing aids, devices, and accessories, and maintain a current understanding of third-party payors and various payment methods.
  • Support Telehealth initiatives to expand patient care and product portfolio.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements based on state requirements.
  • Ability to operate audiometric equipment and interpret results, and communicate test results and proposed treatment to patients.

Requirements:

  • State licensure as an Audiologist or Hearing Aid Specialist.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
