Position Overview
As a pivotal member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Automation (IPA) software engineering team, you will be instrumental in developing tools and integrations for a suite of cloud infrastructure services that underpin critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities
Your role will encompass:

  • Collaborating with fellow core services team members to outline strategic roadmaps and articulate clear user stories with precise acceptance criteria.
  • Designing, implementing, and refining AI and ML-driven solutions that leverage the Kubernetes container platform, merging engineering prowess with data science methodologies to foster innovation in infrastructure management.
  • Developing and delivering software that enhances the functionality, reliability, availability, and manageability of applications and cloud platforms through a DevOps approach.
  • Working alongside partner teams to seamlessly integrate their offerings into the overarching Kubernetes platform.
  • Creating microservices and APIs within a cloud-native architecture in collaboration with other team members.
  • Ensuring the quality, performance, robustness, and scalability of the services you develop.
  • Automating development, testing, and deployment processes via CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Docker containers, OpenShift Kubernetes, and Anthos.
  • Engaging closely with technical teams and architects to conceptualize, design, and deliver AI and machine learning-based solutions for clients.
  • Promoting and advocating for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

Who You Are
You are a proficient Software Engineer with a solid foundation in software design, development, and deployment, particularly in AI, ML, and Data Science-based solutions. Your experience includes:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 5 years of hands-on software development experience, emphasizing continuous delivery, enterprise application development, and cloud automation.
  • Experience in AI, ML, and Data Science projects or offerings.
  • Technical expertise in the OpenShift container platform and Google Anthos, with a focus on customer-centric solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • Certification in CKA/CKAD with expertise in GKE and EKS, driving hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Proficiency in GoLang/Python, with experience in AI/ML, microservices, and containerized cloud applications.
  • Familiarity with GitOps, Terraform, and Ansible, alongside a proven track record in SDLC, TDD, and CI/CD.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with an agile and results-oriented mindset.
