Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider

The Orthopedic APP plays a vital role in the multidisciplinary healthcare team, working collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong foundation in orthopedic medicine, with a focus on adult inpatient care.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain patient health histories and conduct thorough physical examinations.
- Document findings, noting pertinent normal and abnormal findings.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests as needed.
- Explain procedures to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Perform therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based on patient needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Document patient progress and outcomes.
- Prescribe medications as authorized by NC licensure.
- Assess patient needs and provide emergency interventions as necessary.
- Provide family-centered care, communicating with families about patient needs.
- Graduate of an ARC-accredited Physician Assistant Program or an accredited MSN or DNP Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program for adults.
- Current unrestricted medical license issued by NCMB with authorization to practice as a PA or NP.
- Federal and State DEA prescriptive authorization.
- Strongly prefer candidate with 1+ year Orthopedic APP experience.
This is a full-time overnight position, working 5:00 pm-5:00 am, Monday through Friday.
