Family Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UVA Health's Bull Run Manassas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the direction of practice physicians.
Key Responsibilities:- Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
- Synthesize data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
- Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Collaborate with other departments or disciplines to achieve desired quality outcomes.
- Monitor quality of core processes in department.
- Apply the principles of safety and infection control to ensure the safety of all patients.
- Demonstrate superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Work within a team to achieve patient and team goals.
- Shares and initiates regular and professional communication with co-workers.
- Participate in regular staff meetings.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes based on feedback from staff and customers.
The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.
Requirements:- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
- Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
