Mount Desert Island Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our dentists and hygienists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and assist dentists during procedures
  • Obtain dental history and vital signs, and document patient information
  • Sterilize equipment and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment
  • Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and maintaining patient records
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR certification and/or preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment

Our dental office is a dynamic and supportive environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. As a Dental Assistant, you will be exposed to a variety of dental procedures and will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise.

Please note that this position requires working with blood or blood-borne pathogens and requires OSHA training.
