Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Regulatory Affairs team, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
  • Advise various business units, including product management and sales, on structuring transactions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of diverse regulatory compliance reports.
  • Manage responses to governmental inquiries and address complaints filed with regulatory authorities.
  • Represent the organization in regulatory public meetings and workshops.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with government entities, regulators, and market participants.
  • Identify and assess regulatory changes, ensuring the organization adapts its processes accordingly.
  • Collaborate with departments such as billing, product management, and marketing to develop and implement new tariffs.
  • Prepare for changes in products, markets, and networks proactively.
  • Ensure adequate resource allocation to achieve performance objectives.
  • Supervise external regulatory consultants for specific filing tasks.
  • Monitor and evaluate the financial and strategic implications of regulatory developments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement complex regulatory changes.
  • Direct the development of financial data necessary for regulatory budgeting and filings.
  • Manage the telecommunications license acquisition and renewal process.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in regulatory, tariff, or contracts management within telecommunications or a regulated industry.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with regulatory compliance processes.
