Accounts Payable Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client in the healthcare industry in Flint, MI, seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule after training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable invoices, with a high volume of invoices anticipated per week
  • Obtain necessary approvals for payment of invoices from the Controller
  • Manage 90% of payables through ACH transactions, with managers having approval to send wire payments
  • Handle month-end close activities for accounts payable
  • Delegate tasks to AP Coordinators, reviewing their work for completion and accuracy
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in AP processing and recommend to leadership
  • Manage 3 direct reports on-site in Flint, with potential for additional direct reports in Chicago or Michigan

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of AP experience
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Healthcare or non-profit experience preferred
