Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Queen's Health System. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear medicine physics and computerized nuclear medicine systems, as well as excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for nuclear medicine studies and perform high-quality diagnostic scans of specific body systems.
- Monitor equipment and systems, clean equipment, and report errors and problems.
- Provide coverage as needed and perform teaching and instructional services.
Essential: Standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting/carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 30 pounds, patient movement: pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of force; lifting: horizontal lift/carry up to 50 pounds, and repetitive arm and wrist movement consistent with computer/mouse usage.
Occasional: Kneeling, squatting, twisting body, reaching above, at, and below shoulder, repetitive arm/hand motions.
Typical Working Conditions- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical/electrical units, chemicals, radioactive materials, and radiation.
- Must be able to work on-call, holidays, and occasional irregular shifts.
Operating Room gowns, shoes, hats, and masks, and gloves. Wears leaded personal protective equipment, including dosimetry badge, in areas of ionizing radiation.
Minimum Qualifications- Current Hawaii license as a Nuclear Medical Technologist.
- Current BLS/HCP level certification.
- One (1) year experience in Nuclear Medicine highly preferred.
