Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at UCHealth. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing various ultrasound procedures, providing top-notch patient care, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures, including preparing and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
  • Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure if required by law.
  • BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
