Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at THIRA Health. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients. This is a weekend-focused position, with shifts varying based on business need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and assist licensed mental health professionals in creating and maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu environment.
  • Observe and report changes in patient behavior, physical symptoms, and mental health status to the clinical team.
  • Provide one-to-one supervision of patients requiring increased observation and support.
  • Model and encourage patients to engage in healthy behaviors, including meal coaching and nutrition-based educational groups.
  • Accompany and safely transport patients and staff on recreational and therapeutic outings.
  • Communicate with patients and family members regarding attendance and absences as needed.
  • Maintain infection control standards within our facility and ensure staff and patients uphold procedures and standards.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check (Federal & State).
  • Regularly support programming on one or more weekend days preferred.
  • Valid WA Driver's License, clean driving record, and the ability to transport patients safely in facility vehicle highly preferred.
