Quality Assurance Team Lead

At MSIG Insurance Services Inc, we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our cross-functionally aligned agile teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, a proven ability to lead and mentor QA team members, experience working with vendors, and an understanding of Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead and mentor QA engineers both vendor and MSIG employees, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to the team members in planning, executing, and documenting tests.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Communicate test progress, issues, and risks to the teams and all levels of management.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to maintain an innovative QA practice.
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and processes that align with the most current methodologies of delivery.
- Ensure that testing activities are integrated into the agile development process and align with sprint goals.
- Continuously assess and improve the QA Process, methodologies, and practices.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Execute and manage all levels of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Advocate for and help implement test automation strategies to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defect resolution.
- Work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 5+ years' experience software testing.
- 2+ years leading QA.
- 5+ years Commercial Property & Casualty insurance products experience, including Commercial Auto, General Liability, Workers' Compensations, and Property lines.
- Experience with processes and systems supporting Claims, Billing, and Underwriting functions.
- Proficient in test design and test execution tasks.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working with agile teams.
- Proficiency in QA tools and test management software such as Selenium.
- Excellent knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
