Job Overview

In this role, you will provide critical support services to patients at our Twin Ports CBOC location. You will work closely with audiologists to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in hearing aid troubleshooting, repairs, and patient education. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for managing inventory, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide audiology support services, including hearing aid education and troubleshooting.
  • Take ear mold impressions and coordinate hearing aid orders with vendors.
  • Perform otoscopic exams to assess ear conditions and execute cerumen management as needed.
  • Conduct patient education on proper hearing aid care and use.
  • Manage inventory and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Participate in tele-audiology services and collaborate with audiologists to deliver high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Certified or credentialed by the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences (NBC-HIS) preferred.
  • Proficient in hearing aid troubleshooting and patient education.
  • Ability to conduct cerumen management and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience working with electronic health records systems.
  • Valid certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
