Calspan's Force Measurement division is a leading provider of complex force measuring aerospace hardware and prototype systems for ground test and flight applications. With a strong presence in the development of domestic fixed-wing aircraft, missiles, and helicopters, we are seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Senior Technicians to calibrate force measurement balances using hydraulic and dead weight loading.
- Inspect subsystem equipment and assemble complex force measurement balance systems.
- Perform electrical checks using digital multimeters and make patch panel wiring connections.
- Assist with static load calibration of complex force measurement systems and calibrate force measurement balances.
- Support Engineers with the assembly of mechanical systems and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems.
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and documents.
- Knowledge of instrumentation equipment and ability to utilize digital multimeters and power supplies.
