Job Title: Materials Supervisor

Battle Motors is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty work trucks, and we're growing rapidly with the introduction of our new EV technology. We're seeking a highly skilled Materials Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary

The Materials Supervisor will be responsible for managing inventory, production scheduling, logistics, shipping/receiving, expediting, and production line fulfillment. This key leader will analyze data and coordinate with other departments to ensure the timely flow of materials within an established timeframe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement cost-saving measures and process improvements across the materials function.
  • Develop and monitor inventory control systems to ensure adequate supply and movement of materials.
  • Partner with quality, sourcing, and engineering to ensure suppliers meet delivery, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Set inventory objectives and develop Operating Plans for all products produced, purchased, and distributed by the plant.
  • Ensure competitive pricing for all invoiceable events related to materials.
  • Develop direct reports and assist assigned supervisors with training, development, and accountability.
  • Setup systems to optimize material flow, storage, racking, and packaging.
  • Meet inventory verification requirements through cycle counting and/or physical inventory.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and manage competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Tertiary educational degree in a related field preferred.
