Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced diesel technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles. As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic II, you will be responsible for ensuring our vehicles are safe and reliable for our customers. You will work independently to diagnose and repair complex issues, and collaborate with our team to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Collaborate with our team to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Use Penske's tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques
Requirements:
  • 3 years of practical experience with diesel engine maintenance and repair
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair preferred
  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
