About the Role:

The Quality Assurance Lead Auditor will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products and processes at the Adient Columbia JIT Plant. This position is responsible for coordinating actions to achieve and maintain IATF 16949 Certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and ensure the completeness of BOS systems.
  • Maintain document control per BOS requirements.
  • Work with all levels of the facility to maintain registration.
  • Coordinate the BOS internal audit process.
  • Authority and responsibility to stop the production line in case of a safety or quality issue.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the Environmental Management system.
  • Participate in the Health, Safety, and Environmental program by following all policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Report accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and safe working procedures in assigned production areas.
  • Perform all roles and responsibilities as defined by the BOS System Policies and Procedures.
  • Complete all required and applicable training.
  • Complete other duties considered necessary by the Plant Manager.
  • Review and understand Customer Specific Requirements.

Reporting Relationship: Quality Manager

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representatives of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

Two or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Reasoning Ability and Skills:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Other Abilities and Skills:

  • Must be computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs.
