Role Overview

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting various accounting activities, which include the assessment, documentation, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and prepaid expenses. Key tasks will also involve processing student refunds, overseeing deposit accounts, and preparing tax-related calculations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer refunds for student accounts
  • Oversee student deposit management
  • Manage prepaid expenditures
  • Calculate state sales and use tax
  • Review and file property tax submissions
  • Document revenue from events and other income sources
  • Support the month-end closing process
  • Comply with organizational policies
  • Assist in generating ad hoc reports
  • Perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
