At Housing Opportunities Commission, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President of Compliance to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring that our organization and its divisions comply with all relevant regulatory obligations, including federal laws, HUD regulations, state laws, county requirements, and Agency policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance staff and investigate discrepancies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address compliance issues.
- Draft policies, procedures, and budgets related to compliance.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the Agency's Administrative Plan for housing programs is current and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Business Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
- At least Ten (10) years of experience in affordable multifamily residential compliance, with a focus on programs like LIHTC, HOME, PBRA, and PBV.
- At least Seven (7) years in a management or supervisory role within affordable housing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LIHTC certification is mandatory.
- Additional certifications such as LIHTC-Advanced, Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), HOME Certification, Assisted Multifamily Housing Manager, and Blended Occupancy are required within the probationary period.
Salary and Benefits:
Grade 29: Min: $84,701 Mid: $114,238 - Max: $143,774 | Salary determined by departmental budget- Offer commensurate with experience
