Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse

UCHealth is seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Job Summary:

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, and developing and implementing individualized care plans. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and provide education to patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in the Emergency Department
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural background
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and provide education to patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
  • ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire
  • CPI, TNCC/ATCN, and ENPC within 1 year of hire
  • Basic Life Support
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • PALS Certification
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
  • Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses
