Graham Windham's Enhanced Family Foster Care program seeks a skilled Socio Therapist to work with children and youth who require a higher level of care than a regular foster home can provide.
The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the case planner to ensure that every child on the caseload is living in a nurturing, safe, and permanent family environment as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create, implement, reassess, and monitor Antecedent, Behavior, and Consequences (ABC) behavioral and treatment plans for each child, as well as weekly Systematic Teaching and Evaluation Process (S.T.E.P.) Charts.
- Medication Management: Monitor and obtain medications, dosages, and daily medication distribution from resource parents, as recorded on the monthly TFBH Medication Charts.
- Child and Family Support: Provide weekly face-to-face child contact, monthly TFBH meetings with resource parents present, and participate in monthly school contact, including quarterly face-to-face school meetings, educational planning, IEP evaluations, and obtaining report cards and annual test scores.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Travel and Communication: Must be able to travel within the NYC Metropolitan area and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management, and organizational skills.
- Technical Skills: Computer literate, MS Office, and NYS Connections.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to work with diverse populations.
- Base Pay: $50,000/yr.
