Job Title: Med/Surg Nurse Manager

Rivers Edge Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Med/Surg Nurse Manager to join our team. As a Med/Surg Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Medical Surgical Unit, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that the unit runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Medical Surgical Unit, including staffing, patient care, and unit maintenance.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and unit efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure that patients receive comprehensive and individualized care.
  4. Recruit, train, and evaluate staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  5. Monitor and analyze unit performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  6. Develop and implement educational programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements:
  1. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Minnesota.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a nurse manager or in a leadership role.
  3. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  4. Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to improve unit performance.
  5. Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
