Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Stylist to join our team at Shiny Paws Dog Wash & Grooming. As a key member of our grooming team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to detail for our furry clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Washing and Drying: Our ideal candidate will have experience in shampooing and washing pets' fur or hair, followed by drying their coats to perfection.
  • Trimming and Styling: You will be skilled in clipping or shearing fur to conform to breed-specific styles or the owner's requests, such as bows.
  • Detangling and Removing Matted Fur: Our team member will be able to detangle longer coats and remove matted hair with ease.
  • Other Tasks: You will be responsible for trimming nails, cleaning ears and eyes, brushing teeth, expressing anal glands, and treating for fleas and ticks.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of grooming experience
  • A passion for animals
  • The ability to work comfortably with animals, including anxious ones
  • The ability to stand for at least two hours and lift animals weighing over 50 pounds
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work in stressful situations
  • The ability to work as a team and independently
