Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing radiation therapy treatments to adult patients, as directed by a Radiation Oncologist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation therapy principles and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments to adult patients, following established protocols and procedures
  • Perform radiation therapy treatment planning, including patient set-up and CT scan
  • Assess patient status during direct patient interaction and make appropriate referrals to healthcare team members
  • Prepare for treatment delivery, including chart/film checks, room set-up, and electronic medical record (MOSAIQ) checks
  • Formulate patient treatment schedules on treatment machines and prepare treatment devices as needed
Requirements
  • A.S. degree from an accredited radiation therapy technology program
  • 3 or more years of experience in a progressive radiation oncology department
  • CRT/ARRT certifications and State of California RTT license
  • Possession of BLS-HP (Basic Life Support, Healthcare Provider) certificate
