About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP Coordinator to join our team at MEB Management Services. As an AP Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and pay invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Upload check information to bank sites for positive pay checks
  • Assist in logging, routing, coding, and obtaining approval of all Accounts Payable Invoices
  • Manage mortgage information and payments, including verifying information on mortgage spreadsheets and updating cash reports
  • Ensure sales tax invoices and property tax invoices are paid timely and accurately
  • Assist Asset Directors and/or Accountants in preparation of funding requests
  • Maintain Property cash reports and work with Asset Directors for any funding shortages
  • Record and approve utility payment drafts
  • Field inquiries from vendors and site employees
  • Assist Accountants, Managers, and Asset Directors with Accounts Payable questions
  • Verify recorded transactions and report irregularities to Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager
  • Assist accountants with preparation of back-up for client billings
  • Verify vendor status and approvals through RealPage Vendor Credentialing
  • Improve administrative efficiency
  • Report accidents and emergency situations to the corporate office immediately and prepare the proper reports
  • Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times
  • Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality at work
  • Responsible for thorough knowledge and adherence of the company's policies and procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining the required property dress code and ensuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times

Requirements

  • 18 years of age
  • Excellent communication and phone skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrates and fosters MEB core values: positive attitude, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in accounting or associated field preferred
  • Two to Four years' experience in accounts payable in property management; knowledge of Yardi software, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office

Language Skills

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Experience in producing and presenting formal reports to management
  • Possess effective facilitation skills to manage conflict and resolve disputes
