Job Summary

The Manufacturing Manager will oversee all aspects of production execution, ensuring optimal efficiency, product quality, and a safe work environment. This role will leverage contemporary lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes to consistently deliver high-performance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage staffing levels, coordinate recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff in the department, as well as cross-training and further skills development for current staff.
* Mentor team members and provide constructive and timely performance evaluations of direct reports; assist team leaders with performance evaluations for their direct reports.
* Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
* Motivate, support, and set clear expectations for staff in the department.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
* Implement and maintain quality standards and specifications and quality control procedures.
* Plan, organize, and oversee daily production to meet targets and deadlines.
* Partner with supply chain resources for optimized production schedules for improved flow of information, materials, and people.
* Oversee maintenance of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Collect and analyze production data and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field/equivalent work experience (Required)
* Minimum of five (5) years of manager-level or equivalent leadership in a manufacturing environment (required)
* Previous electronics manufacturing experience (preferred)
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience with an ERP system implementation is a plus
