Job Summary

Affton Terminal Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on tractors and tank trailers. This is a full-time position with day shift hours and the opportunity for overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid topoffs
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on tractors and tank trailers
  • Inspect and test vehicle systems to ensure they are operating properly
  • Perform preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of vehicles
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
