Job Summary

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and providing valuable support to our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and Administration: Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients undergoing diagnostic scans, ensuring accurate dosing and minimizing patient risk.
  • Patient Care and Education: Explain imaging procedures to patients, address their concerns, and ensure their comfort throughout the process.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality images, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Image Processing: Process and analyze images to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Patient Monitoring: Closely monitor patients for unusual reactions to radioactive drugs, taking prompt action to address any concerns.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of radiopharmaceutical usage, procedures, and patient outcomes.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to established safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure for both staff and patients.
Requirements:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) certification
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association
  • Valid Maryland license to practice nuclear medicine
