- Maintain a thorough understanding of all loan products, features, and documentation, as well as the steps and timelines involved in the origination and funding process.
- Process all membership applications received through the website and the Lending Center/Member Contact Center channel, and provide timely and relevant information to members.
- Accurately explain the features and benefits of primary products sold, and maintain knowledge of the marketplace and competition.
- Identify referral and cross-sell opportunities, and maintain a high level of availability for calls.
- Respond to member inquiries, resolve concerns, and find resolution for escalated issues.
- Act as the primary member contact for loan services and products, and lead research on complex issues.
- Take action on sales to complete transaction details, and follow up with members to ensure referred products/services meet their needs.
- Implement and meet the Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) service level agreement (SLA) guideline, and coordinate remote signings with members and the processing center.
- Gather and disseminate documents and information necessary for application analysis and loan disbursal.
- Incorporate good due diligence habits in verification of all information on loan and membership applications for fraud prevention.
- Clearly communicate decisions to members, and monitor agent display to maintain appropriate call flow and abandonment rate.
- Plan outbound calls to maintain adequate department phone coverage and promote efficient time management.
- Maintain complete and accurate notes on loan and membership application event history.
- Supports Tech CU's Mission and Vision, and consistently demonstrates Tech CU's Values (Accelerate, Collaborate, Innovate, & Cultivate).
- Meets with manager on a regular basis to discuss goal alignment, performance metrics, and development plans.
- Complies with Tech CU policies and procedures.
- Upholds employee Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, and ensures confidentiality of the workplace.
- Complies with requirements imposed by federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
- Adheres to internal control and security measures designed to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate losses and errors.
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
- 2-3 years' increasing experience in related disciplines, including consumer loans, other financial products, in a sales and service environment, within a credit union or other financial institution.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Good time-management skills.
- Awareness of consumer loan products, applications, and regulations.
- Possess solid PC skills.
- Strong sales/service, organization, and team orientation skills.
- Meets individual product referral goals as outlined by management.
- Achieves a regular Call/Email average of 90% or better.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Possess analytical, organizational, and problem resolution skills.
- Knowledge of Tech CU products and service applications, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to sit 92% of the day.
- Reading a computer screen and perform keyboarding tasks for up to 80% of the day.
- Listening/speaking to others for 92% of time during which one is seated.
