About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer Leader to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and building a team of mechanical designers and engineers to deliver high-performance, low-energy design solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the mechanical design team, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing team of mechanical designers and engineers, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to ensure their growth and success.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that their needs are met and exceeded.
- Design and Engineering: Oversee the development of high-performance, low-energy design solutions, including mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and piping system design.
- Code Compliance: Ensure that all designs and engineering solutions comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Training and Development: Participate in formal engineering training and provide on-the-job training to design engineers, drafters, and interns.
- Recruitment: Lead efforts in recruiting and the company internship program for Engineering and the Project Group.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in design, engineering, and project management.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field is required.
- Licenses: Professional Engineering (P.E.) License in the state of California is required.
- Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
