Harbor Real Estate Management Corp is in search of a dedicated and skilled Property Management Assistant to join our team, focusing on a well-situated elderly and affordable housing community. The successful candidate will possess experience in Project Based Section 8/Affordable Housing, along with familiarity in EIV processes and ideally hold a COS certification or have relevant experience in annual recertification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the efficient management of the property while adhering to the established budget.
- Ensure that property standards are consistently met and maintained.
- Maintain occupancy rates at satisfactory levels.
- Review delinquent accounts and take necessary actions while addressing resident inquiries promptly and courteously.
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Managing the waiting list and processing applications for new residents.
- Participating in the annual and interim recertification processes.
- Conducting annual unit inspections.
- Processing invoices and collecting rent.
- Facilitating resident communication and involvement in budgeting and capital improvement projects.
- Preparing for REAC/MOR inspections.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent telephone and customer service skills, work collaboratively as part of a team, and possess the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
