SHIFT: 2nd, (2 pm-10 pm) Monday-Friday

COMPENSATION: $24.47/hr. + $2/hr. shift premium

Key Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engage in training and actively practice the STOP Safety Program fundamentals to support APC's goal of achieving a zero-accident rate.
  • Safely operate various types of forklifts, including ride-on, scissor lift, and walk-behind models.
  • Supply manufacturing equipment with necessary raw materials such as film, boxes, adhesives, and paper.
  • Efficiently remove finished products from the production area and store them according to pallet location information.
  • Organize outbound shipments systematically using release information.
  • Maintain regular communication with fellow shipping and receiving personnel.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Recharge and maintain electric batteries for forklifts.
  • Conduct accurate monthly cycle counts.
  • Receive materials using the AS400 system and create labels as needed.
  • Organize and stack unused pallets appropriately.
  • Keep the shipping and receiving work area tidy and orderly.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols established by the company.
  • Be available for all scheduled shifts and any required overtime.
  • Attend all mandatory company meetings.
  • Business travel may be necessary.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory, along with a satisfactory work history.

Language Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and effectively communicating with groups.

Mathematical Skills: Proficient in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as interpreting percentages and bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to address practical problems and manage various variables in situations with limited standardization. Capable of interpreting diverse instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include the ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance. Regular use of hands for handling objects and tools is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, utilizing assistance or mechanical aids for heavier items. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This position involves working near moving mechanical parts and exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is typically loud, and hearing protection is mandatory. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes with anti-static discharge soles are required.
