Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises and guides housekeeping supervisors and team members. Distributes staffing, equipment, and resources effectively.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of time and materials within the work management system. Transforms online requests into actionable work orders. Guarantees that time cards are submitted and approved in the work management system. Verifies completion of work orders.
  • Oversees recruitment, training, and performance evaluation processes for supervisors and staff. Provides necessary training to team members.
  • Conducts area inspections and enforces cleaning protocols.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping operations and protocols.
  • Proven ability to enhance and implement new workflows.
  • Strong organizational and coordination capabilities.
  • Ability to anticipate and address client needs effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with staff at all levels.
Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
Experience:

About UT Health San Antonio

Benefits Overview

UT Health San Antonio provides a comprehensive benefits package for its employees. Employees working at least 20 hours per week with a minimum appointment of 4.5 months are eligible for benefits.

Medical: UT SELECT Medical insurance is available at no cost for employees, managed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. Family members can be added through payroll deductions. Employees and their dependents benefit from reduced copays and coinsurance when utilizing UT Health Physicians, a network of 800 top-tier physicians, including over 100 specialists.

Dental: Employees and their families can choose from three dental insurance plans through Delta Dental Insurance Company, including two PPOs and one dental HMO plan. Both PPO options allow employees to select any licensed dentist.

Vision: Fully insured Vision Care benefits are provided by Superior Vision Services, offering two vision plan options with standard or enhanced benefits.

Life Insurance: Employees receive $40,000 in group term life insurance and $40,000 in basic accidental death and dismemberment insurance at no cost, with options to purchase additional coverage for themselves and dependents at group rates.

Retirement: Employees can participate in either the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) or the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP). TRS is a defined benefit retirement plan with matching contributions from UT Health. ORP is available for eligible faculty and staff. Additional voluntary retirement programs are also offered.

Time Off: A generous leave program includes multiple paid leave options:
  • Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) based on years of service, provided at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in the first year based on the hire date.
  • Extended Illness Bank: 8 hours (1 day) accrued monthly for use after one day of Paid Time Off.
  • Paid Family Leave: Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) available to care for a spouse, child, or parent after six months of continuous employment.
  • Holidays: 12 designated paid holidays each year plus three floating holidays for use at any time during the fiscal year.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs): Employees can enroll in FSAs to set aside pre-tax earnings for qualifying dependent care or out-of-pocket health expenses.
