The Society for Neuroscience is seeking highly qualified candidates for tenured or tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor positions in the Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct innovative research in various disciplines, including neurodevelopment, neurodegeneration, and the role of neurons and glia in the healthy and diseased brain.
- Develop and lead research programs, collaborate with colleagues, and mentor students and postdoctoral researchers.
- Teach and mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to the development of curriculum and academic programs.
The Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology is a vibrant and interactive community of faculty with federally funded research programs in broad areas of biomedical science.
Research Opportunities- Our research focuses on the molecular, cellular, and circuit bases of neurodevelopment, neurodegeneration, and the role of neurons and glia in the healthy and diseased brain.
- We have a strong interest in both basic and translational research, using state-of-the-art imaging and electrophysiology, 'omics, behavioral analyses, and computational modeling.
