The Clinical Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services to children aged 0-8, including evaluation, scoring, and interpretation of psychological testing. The successful candidate will develop recommendations for treatment and link children to education and therapeutic services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel families regarding assessment findings and referrals.
- Administer psychological tests based on age, culture, and developmental level.
- Document patient care in the clinical record according to regulatory agency guidelines.
- Supervise and train non-licensed staff.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, therapists, and community organizations.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree in psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) approved program in clinical psychology or an accredited institution with graduate-level training leading to the doctoral degree meeting the requirements of Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR). A minimum of three years of experience in mental health providing direct clinical services to children, including individuals with serious/chronic mental illness, is required. Experience with DSM-5 Diagnostic Criteria, diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and DC 0-5 diagnostic criteria is preferred. A current Hawaii License in Good Standing or on track to pursue licensure in the state of Hawaii is also required.
