Job Title: SIC Electrician (COLA SB)

Job Summary: We are seeking skilled Electricians to join our team in Columbia, SC. As an Electrician with our company, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects in the NC/SC/GA area, utilizing your knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to identify electrical systems and components.
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy to ensure high-quality electrical installations.
  • Prepare layouts and terminate panels using voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and other specialized tools.
  • Plan and execute the installation of electrical systems, including cable tray, wire, and conduit.
  • Understand and apply motor controls and metering principles to ensure safe and efficient electrical systems.
  • Size and install branch circuit overcurrent protection devices to meet electrical code requirements.
  • Calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits to ensure safe and efficient electrical systems.
  • Review and compare differences in electrical systems and components to ensure compatibility and safety.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform work at heights, in confined spaces, and in other challenging environments as required by the job.
  • Make decisions based on measurable criteria to ensure high-quality electrical installations.
  • Visualize and interpret electrical systems and components from plans and drawings.
  • Lift and carry objects of varying weights to perform electrical installations.
  • Detect and respond to hazardous conditions or situations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Attend safety training and general job training as required by the company.
  • Observe and adhere to safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Skilled in written and verbal communication to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to complete all required safety and general job training.
  • Observance of safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

  • Ability to use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in various environments, including offices, shops, warehouses, and construction sites, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely access all areas of the job site, including elevated positions and confined spaces.
  • Strenuous physical demands required to safely perform electrical installations.
  • Ability to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend consistently, and work in confined spaces with limited access.
