At SES Construction, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction environments, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Installation:
    • Install electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and panels in residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine wiring layouts and installation needs.
    • Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
  • Maintenance and Repairs:
    • Inspect electrical components and systems to identify issues, perform troubleshooting, and conduct necessary repairs or replacements.
    • Maintain and repair existing electrical systems on construction sites, ensuring they function correctly and safely.
    • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent issues and prolong system life.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on the construction site.
    • Conduct safety checks and tests on electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
    • Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the site supervisor and take corrective action as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with project managers, other trades, and construction crews to coordinate electrical work with other project activities.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth project progress and resolve any electrical issues that arise.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior electricians or apprentices as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.
    • Submit reports on completed work to supervisors, including any recommendations for future maintenance or improvements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or technical school is preferred.
  • Valid electrician's license or certification as required by state regulations.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as an electrician in construction settings, with knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and safety codes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
  • Physical ability to perform the tasks required, including standing, climbing, and lifting heavy equipment.

Working Conditions:
